Hi there, tea friend. I’m glad you’re here! 

A bit about me: I’m a writer, storyteller, and lifelong tea lover. For decades, tea was my constant companion: a morning ritual, a source of comfort, and a small pleasure in the middle of busy days raising five children and building a career as a writer. 

But for decades, I didn’t know much about the tea in my cup, or the traditions and history that had gotten it there.

In my late forties, I enrolled in a Tea Sommelier program and became a beginner again—learning to taste, identify, brew, and understand tea in an entirely new way. Along the way, I discovered that the more I learned, the more I realized there was still to know.

That sense of discovery is at the heart of Wise Kettle.

Through tea tastings, classes, gatherings, and stories, I  bring curious people together to discover exceptional tea and the people, places, traditions, and ideas behind it. I partner with tea makers and entrepreneurs whose work is worth knowing, curate teas worth tasting, and create experiences designed to make tea feel a little more interesting, approachable, and meaningful.
